Earth Magick and Regenerative Ways of Life with Marysia Miernowska - Episode 4

Updated: Feb 19, 2022

This was my first time ever talking with Marysia, and it flowed like the clearest, sweetest water! I found her on Instagram through a friend and when she announced her book, The Witches Herbal Apothecary, earlier this year, I pre-ordered it immediately! I have been working through the book slowly, taking in the deep and beautiful medicine Marysia has poured into it.

In this episode of the podcast, we explore and discuss concepts and ways to live in flow with the natural world around and within us. Most of us are so disconnected from the natural cycles of life, we can so easily burn out, become violent towards ourselves and others, and fall prey to the mirage of success we are inundated with.

Many of the little nuggets from this conversation have stayed with me over the past few weeks since we recorded. I would LOVE to hear what sticks with you. Leave it in the comments below or email me at TheWildandWise@pm.me

Show Notes:

Marysia Miernowska teaches herbalism through the Gaia School of Healing and regenerative land practices in California. She is the master herbalist and owner of Wild Love Apothecary and was named one of the "top 15 witches on Instagram" (@marysia_miernowska). As an herbalist, witch, biodynamic gardener, and Plant Spirit Medicine Practitioner, she is rooted in the Wise Woman Tradition of Healing. Marysia teaches and speaks at conferences internationally on herbal medicine, plant shamanism, regenerative farming practices, and Earth Magick. Marysia has been busy over the past year - she released her book, The Witch's Herbal Apothecary in January 2020. I have the book and find it is a rich resource for recipes, rituals, and guidance in reconnecting with the power and healing of Earth Magick. Marysia has also recently launched an amazing face serum, made from completely organic ingredients. You can find more info on that at Rituel.com or Rituel on Instagram. Spring is approaching and Marysia has a sweet write up about wildcrafting or harvesting from the wild. Click here to check that out on her blog. Marysia also has a post on her blog about the Wise Women Tradition of healing (click here) and recommends further reading with The Chalice and the Blade by Raine Eisler. Highlights from this episode: Impacts of disconnection from and extraction of the earth What leads to burn out and where does "death" belong How to honor your teachers The Wise Woman Tradition of Healing Where to find sources of unconditional love Heart-opening, nervine relaxant herbs and teas Finding how to birth your own medicine Growing practices for mutual healing of humans and the earth Why not to pull weeds If you enjoy this episode, I can't recommend Marysia's book highly enough. It dives into all of this so much more deeply and weaves in so much more!
